Description

We are pleased to be able to offer new replacement controller mylar (membrane) sets for the Mattel Intellivision games Console.

These are based on the improved Canadian 2609 part number 2609-9589 marked "EURO RR REV-D" which have improved handling of the side buttons.

The mylar sets are suitable for the Intellivision I and the Sears (Super Video Arcade) model of the controller, as well as other consoles based on the Intellivision 2609 range.  We therefore assume they are compatible with the gamepads for the following:

  • Mattel Intellivision 2609
  • GTE / Sylvania Intellivision
  • RadioShack Tandyvision I
  • Sears Super Video Arcade

The replacement mylars have also been successfully used on controllers for the INTV System III/Super Pro Consoles - see:

The sets consist of:

  • Replacement mylar (containing the switches)
  • Foam pad to keep the correct pressure on the "fingers" (the electrical contacts on the mylar)
  • Replacement Clear separating layer
  • Replacement top layer containing the bubble mat and gold coloured key pad

Photos show a restored Intellivision 1 Controller (Controller not included).

    Answer: I don't know for certain - but I found https://www.the-liberator.net/site-files/retro-games/hardware/Intellivision-III/Intellivision-III/015-Intellivision-III-Controller.JPG online - which claims to be the innards of the INTV System III and uses the same Euro RR RevD that our mylar is based on.
