Description
This board will allow you to use the keyboard from a BBC Micro as a USB keyboard on a modern PC. (It will not let you use a USB keyboard on a BBC).
This can use useful for testing BBC keyboards, or to convert a dead machine into a USB keyboard or integrate a Raspberry Pi or other single board computer inside.
The keys are all mapped in the firmware on the board to the most appropriate keys on a modern USB keyboard.
There is also a piezo buzzer which makes the BBC power on noise when connected.
This auction is for the built and tested USB keyboard controller board with onboard, a USB A-B lead and mounting pillars. No computer case or keyboard is included.
See the photo gallery for mounting suggestions. The original keyboard cable should be used, alternatively an IDC cable can be used (no keyboard cables included).
I am currently in the process of clearing out the stock of built and tested boards I have left. I have no plans to make any more of these USB keyboard controllers.
Not suitable for use with MiSTer FPGA.

Question: Does it work on a BBC Master keyboard?
Posted by J***K (2) - 20/05/2023 06:07:46Answer: No, sorry, only the standard BBC Micro Model A/B, as shown. Master could possibly be done as a custom comission, send me a message if you are interested.
