Brand New Replacement Cassette Drive & Tape Counter Belt Set for the Acorn Data Cassette Unit ALF03

THIS PACK CONTAINS 2 BELTS - THE MAIN DRIVE BELT AND THE TAPE COUNTER BELT

The cause of poor loading performance from these cassette units is often a perishing drive belt becoming slack, or more commonly kinked where it has sat without moving around the drive pulley for 30 years or so. This kink then becomes a permanent feature of the belt causing it to jump and slip.

The tape counter belts don't usually snap or degrade, but can slacken off over time and may start to slip.

These high quality, German made, square section belts are newly manufactured and as are as close as is possible to the dimensions of the originals, but made from modern, more resilient materials.
They have been tested extensively with this cassette unit and work perfectly.

Important - before fitting the new belts, make sure that all traces of the old belts have been removed from the pulley wheels with Cassette / Disk Drive Head Cleaning Fluid available in our eBay shop. Residues of the old, worn belts can caused the new belts to slip and/or "ride up" and come off the pulleys.
