Descripción

This is a board which replaces the two 6550 video RAM chips in some PET 2001 boards. It uses a modern static RAM chip to replace the 6550 RAM chips which often fail.

You can spot these as a pair of MPS 6550 chips in the unusual size of 22 pin 400mil spacing, near the back of the PET board. This cannot be used to replace 6550 RAM in as system RAM (use a PET ROM/RAM board for that).

Some late model 2001 PETs have 2114 video, this will not replace that, but I have a board for that as well.

This listing include the 6550 replacement board only (the red V4.0 boards). It does not include the PET 2001 board, 6550 RAM chips or any of the other things shown such as the Charter ROM replacement, PET ROM/RAM, PET Video, PET Dual Joystick with Piezo and SD2PET (all of which are available separately)

Some of the pictures show the older green version which is functionally identical. 

This will also allow PET Diagnostics to run on a 2001, as that is not compatible with the 6550 video RAM timings.
