Mini PET V1.48 A PCB + Preprogrammed Parts

This is the PCB to build a Mini PET computer. This is Commodore PET compatible, with the full compliment of 32K RAM and a 40x25 monochrome display via composite video.

The board requires four of the modern WDC W65x series chips, two W65C21Ns PIAs, one W65C22N VIA and a W65C02S CPU.

The Mini PET has the full IO ports of a normal PET, IEEE-488, Userport and one datasette. This can be jumpered as port 1 or 2, and a second port wired to the pin header on the board.

Power is via 9V DC (selectable polarity). Video output is PAL or NTSC composite video, or the board can drive a PET 9" or 12" monitor.

This is the "A" version in white, designed to be used stand alone with a keyboard. See my other listing for the green "B" version which is designed to be fitted inside a PET case.

Three pre-programmed parts are provided. A microcontroller which acts as a CRTC replacement, a character ROM and the Mini PET OS ROM, including Mini PET BASIC 4.0. 

This auction is for the PCB and the three pre-programmed parts only.  The parts required for the rest of the build are all through hole 0.1" pitch, and are all modern parts still in production (with the exception of the the 48 pin video RAM chip which has recently gone out of production). 74HC series logic chips should be used giving the board a current consumption of around 65mA. Parts availability is a little tricky at the moment, so make sure to check the parts list (attached below) to ensure you can source all the parts required.

No keyboard is included, you need to use an original PET keyboard, or one of my PET replacement keyboard listed here (or there are full size cherry switch replacement versions available elsewhere).

These are the last stocks of the V1.48 board, the last revision of the Mini PET. These have the single 8 way DIP switch and the corrected userport (some pictures show the earlier versions)
