Ever dreamed of a decent external keyboard for your ZX81? Ever thought you needed the perfect keyboard to use with ZX81 emulators on the PC or a Raspberry Pi? Well now it's here, the ZX-Key is a mechanical keyboard both usable on real ZX81s via an interface expansion Card and on modern PCs via USB. The keyboard is similar to the popular Memotech ZX81 keyboard from the 80s

Package Includes

Fully assembled ZX-Key Keyboard with Gateron Black key linear switches and PBT key-caps.
ZX81 Expansion Interface Card. Compatible with ZX80, ZX81 and TS1000.
IDC cable for connecting.
Quality Self Adhesive Keyboard Stickers for ZX81, ZX80 and ZX Spectrum keyboards.

***Note*** Keyboard does not come with a case, however a simple case has been designed which is available separately from Shapways: Shapways

In Addition a full case has now been designed based on the simple case. All case components are also avaliable on Shapeways. Shapways

The latest firmware is burnt to the keyboards mirco controller before shipping. Updates and support will also be provided at ZX81 Keyboard Adventure

The Interface and Keyboard are fully compatible with Sinclair hardware and software.

Question: How would I use this with the ZXpand+? Does it have a connector on the back to connect the ZXpand+?

Answer: Works perfectly with the ZXpand+ . The interface has a passthrough connector and you connect the ZXpand on behind it.
